We know that for many, this statement may be too little, too late.

We owe the deepest apology to all of the survivors who have been left waiting for support funds they desperately need while recovering mentally and physically from the neo-fascist attack on Charlottesville on August 12, 2017. We also owe a tremendous apology to the Charlottesville and Richmond DSA chapters who have been filling the gap in support to their comrades on their own as they try to recover from the attack themselves. The antifascist work these chapters and their allies have done in the aftermath of A12 has been tremendous. Socialism must rise to the challenge to stop surging reactionary nationalism all over the world—we failed to do that with the prompt distribution of these funds. We must offer our continued support in any way we can.
