DSA chapters can make real changes, in their communities and beyond. But we need to plan well to do that.

What are the four pillars?

Campaign Work. This isn’t just electoral. It includes direct action, protests — coordinated action with a specific goal and a specific target that can get you what you want. And working in coalition with other community groups is vital for this to work.

Political Education. This can be learning about socialism in general, or even better, focusing on the topics of your campaign work.

Base Building. That means reaching out to new people and bringing more members into your chapter.

Social(ism). That is, having a good time and lifting people’s spirits. This is important!
