National Political Committee (NPC) Elections

At the Convention, Delegates will elect a new DSA National Political Committee (the “NPC”), the 16 person leadership body that leads the organization and serves as its board of directors in between National Conventions. For more information on NPC member responsibilities, check out this document.

To run for NPC, you must be nominated either by your chapter or organizing committee (through a vote at a general or regular meeting open to the whole membership or an online vote) or by a National Working Group, Committee or Commission or the AFROSOC-POC Caucus. The leadership of the nominating body should send a signed and dated copy of the nominating resolution to the Convention Planning Committee ([email protected]), OR you can include a copy of the resolution in the required NPC Candidate Questionnaire.The deadline for NPC nominations is June 16th.


The National Elections Committee will be holding 3 townhalls with candidates for NPC online via zoom on June 30, July 7, July 14. Links to register for the townhalls will be posted here when they are available.
