Event Information

Join Bhaskar Sunkara, founding publisher and editor of Jacobin magazine, and Rev. Andrew Wilkes on Wednesday, September 30th for the third installment in the monthly conversation series of DSA’s Religious Socialism working group. The theme of the conversation will be focused on Taking Heart in a Heartless World: How Faith Traditions Can Strengthen Socialist Movements.

At a time when religious narratives and communities are simultaneously being mobilized for inequality-reproducing and emancipatory purposes, Rev. Wilkes and Sunkara will discuss the role of religion and faith traditions within the wider socialist movement and Left politics.
