Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!
Celebrate the legacy of an American hero and democratic socialist

YDS has produced a special poster for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, highlighting King's commitment to racial justice, critique of capitalism, and desire for a democratic socialist alternative. We encourage our activists and chapters to use this flyer to continue MLK Jr.'s radical legacy while attracting new youth and students to YDS.

Fight to End the War this Jan. 27th in Washington DC!
Join YDS and hundreds of thousands of other activists at the United for Peace and Justice rally in DC

It is time to end the war in Iraq and bring the troops home!  The Young Democratic Socialists are actively supporting the efforts of United for Peace and Justice's massive anti-war rally to be held in Washington DC Saturday, January 27th.  We strongly encourage our members to attend this rally and stay for Sunday's National Youth and Student Peace Coalition activities at Bethesda's Chevy Chase High School.

The YDS national office and DC area YDS members are organizing a meeting spot, pending final approval of a rallying location by local police. If you are interested in attending Saturday's march, Sunday's activities, and/or helping coordinate our efforts, please contact us at yds@dsausa.org or call 212-727-8610.
