NIGHT"2013 Isn't Soon
Enough: The Anti-War Movement Post-Bush" with DSA members Bill Fletcher Jr.,
Frances Fox Piven, and Stephen Eric Bronner
YDS has participated in the Iraq
Moratorium since it began last September. In our biggest Iraq
Moratorium event yet, we are facilitating a discussion between three democratic
socialists on where the anti-war movement will go after the Bush
presidency. The event will start at 7 PM and doors will open at 6:30
PM. For those not registered for the conference, there will a suggested
donation of $6 to cover rental fees.
The location of this event and the
rest of the conference is 351 W. 18th Street between 8th and 9th
Avenues. You can take the A/C/E trains to 14th street-8th Avenue
station and then walk north towards 18th street. There is also a 16th
street exit which will leave you closer to the school. You can also take
the 1/2/3 trains to 14th Street-7th Avenue station. You will have to walk
west one avenue to 8th and then walk north to 18th and then turn left towards
9th Avenue. You can also take the 1 train to 18th Street-7th
Avenue, then walk west to 8th Avenue.

run local on weekends. Plan to leave earlier than usual from where you are
staying.
SCHEDULE: The
gathering will begin at 9 AM and run to about 6 PM everyday. For
specific workshops, plenaries, and panel schedules please click
here. You will receive a conference packet upon registration.
Meals such as breakfast and lunch will be provided for those who are registered
for the full conference. NOTE: There are day rates if you are not
attending for the whole weekend.
PARTY: Weekend
conference activities are not limited to Bayard Rustin High School alone.
YDS will have a dinner and party right afterward Saturday's closing in
Brooklyn! Directions will be handed out at the
conference.
TABLES/LIT: We will
have a ton of great groups tabling. If you are still interested in
tabling, please contact YDS at yds@dsausa.org. There will be one extra
table for all other literature for those who have not
registered.

Housing?
Housing Options for the
Weekend
The
free housing provided by YDS is currently full. However, there are still
many other options for finding a place to stay. You can check out our list
of cheap by clicking
here. You should also contact family and friends who might have an
extra bed, couch, or floor space for you.
A few rules and regulations for
the conference
There is no reason that this conference shouldn't be fun and
great experience for everyone! That being said, due to school rules there
is NO eating in the auditorium. Likewise, if you have any problems please don't hestitate to ask
conference organizers for help. School safety will also be
available.
