DSA at the
AFL-CIO Convention
DSA's labor blog, TALKING UNION scored
an impressive first by blogging directly from the AFL-CIO Convention.
Paul Garver, Steve Early, and Carl
Finamore wrote and posted 9 different articles
directly from the convention. If you had been checking the Talking Union Blog
regularly you would have had gotten our reporters
immediate impressions of the convention.
Since the internet is forever you can
still check out the blog and the posts. Take some time to
read through the convention posts as well as some of the other posts. If
you do, you will agree with me that Talking Union in just two years has
become an impressive vehicle for labor activists to communicate. You can help
build Talking Union by visiting the site often, forwarding articles to
co-workers and union contact and linking your own web site or blog to
Talking Union.
If you are a labor activist who wants
to become more involved in DSA's labor network try to attend DSA's national
convention. A meeting of network activists will be just one of the important
activities taking place at our convention.
