CELEBRATING RUTH SPITZ
 
DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS OF AMERICA INVITES YOU TO BID FAREWELL TO RUTH SPITZ.  RUTH IS LEAVING NEW YORK TO LIVE NEAR HER DAUGHTER IN CHICAGO.   THE DSA NATIONAL OFFICE AND THE NEW YORK CITY LOCAL INVITE YOU TO CELEBRATE HER LIFETIME OF COMMITMENT TO SOCIALISM AND DEMOCRACY.

TIME:    6-8 p.m.
WHERE:The home of Maxine Phillips and Tom Roderick, 536 W. 111 St. Apt. 37. Take the No. 1 train to 110th.  It’s between Broadway and Amsterdam.
CONTRIBUTE TO THE MEMORY BOOK
 The New York City Local is putting together a memory book for Ruth.  If you can, please bring a photo of yourself and be ready to write a brief caption or message to insert in the album.  If you cannot attend, please send a photo of yourself, with a memory of Ruth, a captioned line, or comment of farewell or appreciation to vfranco2@earthlink.net  Postal mail photos and appreciations can be sent to Maxine at the above address in New York City, zip code 10025.
Bring a bottle of wine, seltzer, some fruit, some cheese, or anything else good to share, but mainly bring yourself and enjoy an evening of memory and camaraderie.
Ruth has known many, many people over the years, so please forward this widely and ask people to call those who might not have e-mail and would like to send a memory or attend.
