Remember, there are incredible NYC events going on as we speak, so come as early as you can and stay for as long as you like.

The National Youth & Student Peace Coalition (of which YDS is a member) is hosting an interactive day of workshops, trainings, spoken word, banner making, music and more. Hundreds of young activists around the country (such as yourself) will come together at the St. Marks Church in Manhattan (see website for directions, satellite locations and a full schedule) to demand "books not bombs!" YDS has organized a few activities at the Convergence... including an inter-generation panel with SDS co-founder Tom Hayden (see his article below) and others!

On the eve of the RNC, hundreds of thousands will come together for a spirited, legal and permitted mass march to say NO! to the lies, greed, war and hate of the Bush administration. The march, sponsored by United for Peace and Justice (YDS is a coalition member) will be the largest of the week's many protest actions. YDS will join the "Books Not Bombs" youth/student contingent departing from 18th St. between 6th and 7th Ave at 10am. Call us at 917-662-0276 for directions and more details.
