DSA National Director's Post Election Analysis

November 30, 2004

DSA National Director Frank Llewellyn criticized Democratic party leaders and operatives who wanted to use the election results to "push the Democrats even further into the grasp of large corporations" in an article released today. The article is posted in downloadable form here.

In arguing that the Democrats did not lose the election because they were too left Llewellyn specifically criticized the Democratic Leadership Council, the Kerry Campaign and the leadership of the Democratic National Committee as well as state Democratic Party organizations and elected officials. Llewellyn went on to urge progressives to be even more ideological as they fight the Bush administration and prepare for the 2006 elections.
