"Building a Multilateral Future" will be an international dialogue among progressive public officials from Europe, Canada, and the United States on the importance of a genuine multilateral approach to international crisis and the need for international leadership on human rights and peace and justice issues. Topics include articulating the European and Canadian critique of Bush administration policies of pre-emption and unilateralism; Minnesota progressive Democrats assessing Republican Party and Democratic Party foreign and economic policies; and building progressive alliances and policy around the issues of peace, democracy, and security.
